WHAT IS PROHIBITION ?

Prohibition came around the 1920's. It started in January 16,1920 .Prohibition was a period of nerarly fourteen year of U.S history in which the manufacture ,sale , and transportion ,of liquor was made illegal.
Prohibition was supposed to lower crime and reduce social problems.To also was supposed to lower taxes needed to support prisons, poor house,and to improve health.But instead liquor became a huge problem.Courts and prisons systems became overloaded.So after the result of prohibition ,prohibition end in 1933.
